The Kidde Genesis LED EG4SWN is a wall-mount fire alarm speaker designed for commercial voice evacuation and notification circuits. Low-profile at just 1.62 inches off the wall, it mounts flush on standard electrical boxes and connects directly to the FACP speaker circuit with 12-18 AWG in-out screw terminals. Room side wiring plate (GP10) included for fast installation.

Built for the commercial installer

The EG4 Series design fits 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-inch octagon, and 4-inch square electrical boxes with no special hardware. Quick-swap covers let you change markings in the field without pulling the device off the wall - swap from unmarked to FIRE or ALERT without rewiring. No visible mounting screws on the finished install. UL listed (S298, S5389) and FCC compliant.

Synchronization supported through Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster and Auxiliary Power Supplies, and Intelligent and Conventional Control Panels. Maximum 20 ohms between any two synchronized devices on the circuit.

What electrical boxes does the EG4SWN fit?
Fits 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-inch octagon, and 4-inch square electrical boxes. Boxes must be at least 1-1/2 inches (3.81 cm) deep.
Can I change the marking without rewiring?
Yes. The EG4 Series uses quick-swap covers. Remove the existing cover and snap on a FIRE or ALERT marked cover without disturbing wiring or removing the device from the wall.
What panels is this speaker compatible with?
The EG4SWN connects to any Kidde or compatible FACP speaker circuit. Synchronization is supported through Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster and Auxiliary Power Supplies, and both Intelligent and Conventional Control Panels.
Does this include a room side wiring plate?
Yes. The GP10 Room Side Wiring Plate is included. Optional EG4T trim plates (EG4TW white, EG4TR red) are available separately.
How far does the speaker protrude from the wall?
The EG4 appliance protrudes just 1.62 inches (4.11 cm) from the mounting surface. With the optional EG4T trim plate, the trim plate adds 0.3 inches.
