The Kidde Genesis LED EG4AWF is a wall-mount fire alarm horn built for commercial life safety installations. White housing with FIRE marking makes it code-ready for most jurisdictions out of the box, and the included GP10 room side wiring plate lets you pre-wire and verify continuity before the device snaps into place - no return trips to confirm connections.

Built for the commercial installer

The EG4 Series horn mounts to standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-inch octagon, and 4-inch square electrical boxes with no special hardware. Field-selectable output gives you high (85 dBA reverberant / 92 dBA anechoic) or low (80 dBA / 86 dBA) sound levels, plus constant or TC3 temporal patterns - all configurable via slide switches under the cover without removing the device from the wall. UL 464 and ULC S525 listed.

System requirements

Requires 16 to 33 VDC or 16 to 33 VFWR from a compatible notification appliance circuit. Synchronization with other Genesis devices requires a Kidde CC Series signal module, booster/auxiliary power supply, or compatible Kidde control panel. Accepts 12 to 18 AWG wiring.

What electrical boxes does the EG4AWF fit?
Mounts to 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-inch octagon, and 4-inch square electrical boxes. Boxes must be at least 1.5 inches deep. Optional EG4TW trim plate covers oversized openings.
Can I change the marking or color without replacing the device?
Yes. The EG4 Series uses quick-swap replacement covers. Swap to FIRE, ALERT, or unmarked in red or white without removing the device from the wall.
Does this horn work on coded NAC circuits?
Yes. Horn-only models support constant output that can be coded at intervals by Kidde control panels and control modules, or set to TC3 temporal pattern for standard fire alarm use.
Can I mix this horn with Genesis LED strobes on the same NAC circuit?
Genesis LED EG4 horns and strobes can be mixed on the same NAC circuit. Synchronization requires a compatible Kidde CC Series signal module, booster/auxiliary power supply, or Kidde control panel.
How much current does this horn draw?
At high output: 28 mA (DC) or 38 mA (FWR). At low output: 18 mA (DC) or 22 mA (FWR). Low current draw allows more devices per NAC circuit and longer wire runs.
