Luminys P22-4TA4 4MP 4x PTZ Dome Camera

Name: Luminys | P2 4MP 4x Ptz | P22-4TA4
Brand: Luminys
SKU: LM-P22-4TA4

The Luminys P22-4TA4 puts 4MP PTZ coverage on a mini dome footprint -- 4x optical zoom, 355° pan, and 300-preset support from a unit that weighs 1.5 lb and fits the same ceiling knockout as a standard fixed dome. Good for retail atriums, parking decks, hotel lobbies, and any site where you need to follow activity across a wide area without running multiple cameras.

Built for the commercial installer

IP66 and IK10 ratings handle exterior mounting and impact without an add-on housing. True 120dB WDR cleans up backlit entrances and mixed-light scenes -- the kind of spots where fixed cameras regularly generate useless footage. NDAA compliant for government, education, and sensitive commercial contracts. ONVIF Profile S/M/T keeps it compatible with the VMS already on your jobs.

Key capabilities

4x optical zoom across 2.8-12.0mm covers wide lobby overviews and tight identification shots from a single mount point
VCA line crossing and intrusion detection run on-camera -- no server-side analytics license required
Face detection captures snapshots and facial attributes automatically for post-event review
300 preset positions, 8 programmable tours (up to 32 presets each) with scheduled and idle-mode patrol -- set it up once and the camera works the space autonomously
Electronic image stabilization (EIS) reduces vibration artifacts on pole mounts and rooftop installs
Local storage to Micro SD (max. 512GB) plus FTP/NAS -- keeps recording when the network path drops

System requirements

Single RJ-45 connection to any PoE (802.3af) switch or 12VDC supply. Streams via RTSP to any ONVIF-compatible NVR or VMS; LumiViewer client included. No separate decoder or controller needed for standalone operation.

FAQs

Is the P22-4TA4 NDAA Section 889 compliant?

Yes. The Luminys P22-4TA4 is NDAA compliant, making it eligible for government, education, and federally sensitive commercial contracts.

What PoE standard does this camera require?

PoE 802.3af. Standard managed PoE switches work -- no PoE+ or PoE++ required. The camera draws 2.3W at idle and 6.2W at max, well within the 802.3af 15.4W budget.

How many preset positions and patrol tours does this PTZ support?

300 presets; 8 programmable tours (up to 32 presets each); 5 scan modes; 5 patterns. Scheduled and idle patrol modes run the camera automatically when no operator is at the controls.

Does the camera include on-camera video analytics?

Yes -- VCA line crossing and intrusion detection run on the camera. No server-side license or analytics appliance required. Face detection is also on-camera: captures snapshots and facial attributes automatically when a face enters the scene.

Can the P22-4TA4 record locally without an NVR?

Yes. It supports Micro SD storage up to 512GB, FTP, and NAS -- three separate local or near-local recording paths. The camera continues recording to the SD card if the network path to the NVR drops.

Is this camera rated for exterior mounting?

Yes. IP66 (dust-tight and weather-resistant) and IK10 (impact-resistant) ratings allow direct exterior mounting without an add-on housing. Operating temperature range is -22°F to 140°F (-30°C to 60°C).

What VMS and NVR systems does this camera work with?

Any ONVIF Profile S, M, or T compatible system. Luminys LumiViewer is included for standalone management. The camera also supports CGI, SDK, P2P, and RTSP for integration with third-party platforms.
