The Luminys R3 Starter Series NVR (R32-16PA10) brings 16-channel 4K recording and integrated camera-side analytics to commercial security deployments -- without the overhead of a full enterprise VMS. Sixteen built-in PoE ports mean no separate switch required, and the pre-installed 10TB drive gets you recording the same day it goes in the rack.
Built for the commercial installer
NDAA-compliant and ONVIF-compatible, the R32-16PA10 fits into mixed-vendor camera environments without reconfiguring your whole stack. The 1U chassis ships with rack mounting brackets. Two SATA bays support up to 20TB total storage, so you can expand capacity later without swapping the recorder. LumiCloud Lite is included out of the box; a paid LumiCloud subscription unlocks AI-based cloud event storage and 30-day rolling archive.
Key features
- 16-channel 4K recording: up to 8MP per channel at 160 Mbps recording bandwidth
- 16 built-in PoE ports (IEEE 802.3 af/at): powers cameras directly from the NVR -- no extra switch to buy or manage
- Analytics by Camera: leverages edge analytics from Luminys cameras -- iMD on all 16 channels, VCA on 8, Face Detection and LPR on 4 each -- without taxing the NVR's processor
- 10TB HDD pre-installed: ready to record day one; second SATA bay open for expansion up to 20TB
- HDMI 4K + VGA outputs: dual-monitor local viewing or integration with existing display infrastructure
- LumiViewer client included: desktop and mobile app for live view, playback, and alarm management from anywhere
- NDAA-compliant, ONVIF-compatible: meets government procurement requirements and works with third-party ONVIF cameras
System requirements
Cameras connect directly to the NVR's 16 PoE ports (up to 25.5W per port, 115W total PoE budget). A single GbE uplink connects the NVR to the customer's network for remote access via LumiViewer or LumiCloud. HDMI or VGA monitor required for local initial setup. Storage is pre-installed -- second SATA bay is open for a second drive up to 10TB.
