LM-R54-32NA10

The Luminys R54-32NA10 is a 32-channel 32MP 8K NVR built for commercial deployments that need serious recording capacity and on-board analytics without leaning on a cloud subscription. Dual Gigabit NICs, four SATA bays with 10TB pre-installed, and a full recorder-side AI stack cover everything from intelligent motion to face recognition to license plate capture in a 1.5U chassis.

Built for the commercial installer

Both NICs are live simultaneously - run one to your management network and one to your camera VLAN, or use them for active redundancy. The unit ships NDAA Section 889 compliant, so it clears federal, state, and government-adjacent job requirements. ONVIF and RTSP interoperability mean it slots into mixed-manufacturer deployments; full AI analytics require compatible Luminys cameras but standard recording works with any ONVIF stream.

Key features

  • 32-channel, 32MP recording: supports 8K down to legacy 1080p inputs in a single rack unit
  • Dual Gigabit NIC: independent simultaneous connections for network segmentation or redundancy
  • Recorder-side AI: iMD, VCA (10 rules/channel), Face Recognition (up to 20,000-face library), LumiSearch+, Video Metadata, and LPR - no cloud required
  • 4 SATA + 1 eSATA: 10TB included, scales to 64TB total with up to 16TB per drive
  • Dual HDMI + Dual VGA outputs: two independent display connections for control room or head-end setups
  • NDAA Section 889 compliant: ready for government and critical infrastructure bids

System requirements

Connects to the network via either or both Gigabit ports. Monitor locally via HDMI or VGA, or remotely via LumiViewer desktop/mobile or LumiCloud. No dedicated server needed - the recorder handles AI processing onboard. Compatible Luminys cameras unlock the full analytics stack; ONVIF cameras record natively at up to 32MP.

Does this NVR require a cloud subscription for AI analytics?
No. All recorder-side analytics - iMD, VCA, Face Recognition, LumiSearch+, and LPR - run locally on the unit. LumiCloud Lite is included at no charge. Unity subscriptions are sold separately for advanced cloud features.
Can I use non-Luminys cameras with this NVR?
Yes. ONVIF and RTSP compatible - records most third-party IP cameras at up to 32MP. Full AI analytics (LumiSearch+, Face Recognition, LPR) require compatible Luminys cameras. Standard recording and motion work with any ONVIF stream.
Is this NVR NDAA Section 889 compliant?
Yes. NDAA Section 889 compliant and FCC certified. Suitable for federal, state, and government-adjacent project bids.
How much storage does it support and what comes included?
The R54-32NA10 includes 10TB pre-installed. Four SATA bays support up to 16TB per drive (64TB max), plus one eSATA port for external expansion. Drives beyond the included 10TB are sold separately.
What is the difference between AI On and AI Off recording bandwidth?
With recorder-side AI enabled, bandwidth is capped at 220 Mbps in/out to reserve processing headroom. Disabling it allows up to 400 Mbps - useful when cameras handle analytics at the edge via LumiSearch+ or VCA.
What does the Dual NIC enable on this unit?
Both Gigabit ports are live simultaneously. Common deployments use one port on a camera VLAN and the other on the management network for isolation, or configure both for active redundancy. Each port is independently addressable.
How many simultaneous displays does the unit support?
Two independent HDMI outputs and two VGA outputs are available. HDMI and VGA on the same port group can run simultaneously. Useful for head-end and control room setups where you need a live view wall alongside a workstation monitor.
