The PDK Red Wireless Deadbolt brings wireless access control to unit doors where running wire isn't practical: apartment suites, dormitory rooms, interior office doors, storage areas. Battery-powered (4x AA, up to two years) or hardwired to 5V DC, it pairs to the Red Hub over HubNet and enrolls in PDK.io automatically, using the same workflow as every other door on the system.

Built for the commercial installer

Adjustable backset (2-3/8" to 2-3/4") fits standard residential and light commercial door prep. Exterior side is IP65-rated for exposed entries. SFIC keyway compatibility keeps it inside existing master key schedules without hardware changes. Credential support spans the full PDK stack: Proximity (125 kHz), PDK High-Security 13.56 MHz (MIFARE DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3), BLE mobile credential via the PDK.io app, and PIN. TAA and NDAA Section 889 compliant. Assembled in USA.

System requirements

Each lock communicates to PDK.io through a PDK Red Hub (PDK-RHUB). One hub supports up to 16 locks and connects to the existing Ethernet network via PoE or 12-24V DC. No additional controller or panel required.

Does this lock require a hub?

Yes. Every Red Wireless Lockset pairs to a PDK Red Hub (PDK-RHUB) over HubNet. One hub supports up to 16 locks and bridges them to PDK.io.

How many locks can one Red Hub support?

Up to 16 Red Wireless Locksets per hub. One hub typically covers a full apartment floor, office suite, or classroom wing.

Does this work with existing door prep?

Yes. The deadbolt fits door thickness 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" with adjustable backset (2-3/8" to 2-3/4"). SFIC and conventional keyway options available.

What happens when the battery runs low?

PDK.io sends low battery alerts remotely. The lock continues to operate until fully depleted, with visible and audible indicators at the lock.

Does the lock require network connectivity at the door?

No. The lock communicates wirelessly to the Red Hub over HubNet. Only the hub requires a wired Ethernet connection.
