SKU:
QO-IQP5017

The IQ Panel 5 is the next-generation 7-inch all-in-one security and smart home panel from Johnson Controls. It ships with PowerG+ built in, Z-Wave 800-Series Long Range, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a Verizon LTE CAT4 cellular radio. Runs Android 14 on a Qualcomm DragonWing quad-core SoM, so it stays supported for the long haul.

Built for takeovers and greenfield installs

PowerG+ ships in the box. Legacy 319, 345, and 433 MHz support is available via add-on cards installed at the panel, which means the same platform covers new PowerG+ deployments and takeover jobs where the customer already owns sensors on an older frequency. One panel SKU, one dealer stock, every job type. UL985, UL1023, and UL2610 listings cover residential fire and burglary and commercial burglary applications. ULC-S545 and ULC-S304 cover Canada.

Which cellular carrier does this panel use?
Verizon LTE CAT4 variant. See the full IQ5 lineup for AT&T and Telus options.
Does this replace the IQ Panel 4?
Yes for new installs. Existing IQ Panel 4 systems can migrate to IQ Panel 5 via standard takeover — PowerG+ is built in and legacy 319/345/433 MHz support is available via add-on card, so previously deployed sensors carry forward.
Can I reuse existing 319, 345, or 433 MHz sensors?
Yes, with the corresponding legacy RF add-on card installed at the panel. PowerG+ is built in; other frequencies are per-frequency add-on cards.
Is the IQ Panel 5 UL Commercial listed?
Yes. UL985, UL1023, UL2610 cover residential fire, residential burglary, and commercial burglary. ULC-S545 and ULC-S304 cover Canada.
How many Z-Wave devices does it support?
Up to 167 devices on the built-in 800-Series Z-Wave Long Range radio.
What Alarm.com plan is required?
An active Alarm.com Interactive plan with cellular is required for the panel's connected features. Configure through your Alarm.com dealer portal at activation.
Does the built-in camera stream video to the Alarm.com app?
The 13MP PortraitView camera is used on-panel for disarm photos and panic snapshots by default. Live streaming to the Alarm.com app requires an interactive video plan on top of the base cellular plan.
How long does the battery last during a power outage?
24+ hours on the built-in 18650 lithium-ion battery (3,000 mAh), meeting UL commercial standby requirements.
