The DS1016GE is a 16-port Gigabit Easy Smart rackmount switch, the step up from an unmanaged unit when a small site needs a few VLANs or traffic priorities without paying for a full managed switch. It sits in a 1U steel case with the rack kit in the box.
Built for small racks that need basic control
Easy Smart means you configure it from a web GUI or the Windows Easy Smart Configuration Utility. Put cameras or guest traffic on their own VLAN, prioritize with port, 802.1p or DSCP QoS, mirror a port to troubleshoot, and let loop prevention and cable diagnostics catch cabling mistakes. It does not join an Omada controller, so plan it as a standalone switch.
