The Omada ES220GP is a 20-port Gigabit Easy Managed switch with sixteen PoE+ ports and a 150 W budget, a fanless fit for a closet or office rack with a mid-size camera and AP load. Two SFP slots handle fiber uplinks or links to another switch.

Built for quiet closets and mid-size camera installs

Sixteen ports deliver 802.3af/at PoE+ at up to 30 W each, but the 150 W budget is shared, so size the job by total draw. Two more RJ45 ports and two Gigabit SFP slots cover data and uplinks. Fast PoE and Perpetual PoE keep devices up through a reboot, and PoE reach extends to 250 m at a reduced 10 Mbps link. With no fan it stays silent on a desk or in a rack.

Key features

  • 16 PoE+ ports, 150 W total: 802.3af/at at up to 30 W per port for cameras, APs and phones
  • 2 Gigabit SFP slots plus 2 data ports: fiber uplinks or links to a recorder and a second switch
  • Fast PoE and Perpetual PoE: devices power up early and stay powered through a switch reboot
  • PoE reach to 250 m: long camera runs at a reduced 10 Mbps link speed
  • Fanless, desktop or rack mount: silent in use, brackets and screws included, with a security lock slot

System requirements

Powered from a 100-240V AC outlet with the included power cord. Powered devices must be 802.3af or 802.3at compliant. The SFP slots need separate Gigabit SFP modules. Centralized management needs an Omada Cloud-Based, Hardware or Software Controller; zero-touch provisioning needs the cloud controller. Without a controller the switch runs standalone from its web interface.

FAQs

How many ports on the ES220GP have PoE?
Sixteen. They are 802.3af/at PoE+ at up to 30 W per port, sharing a 150 W budget. The two other RJ45 ports and the two SFP slots carry data only.
What is the difference from the ES220GMP?
Same port layout. The ES220GP has a 150 W budget, is fanless and measures 11.6 in wide, while the ES220GMP has a 250 W budget and one fan.
Is it loud?
No. It is fanless, so it is silent in a rack or on a desk.
Does it need an Omada controller?
No. It runs standalone from its web interface. A controller adds centralized management, and the cloud controller adds zero-touch provisioning.
Does it rack mount?
Yes. It mounts in a rack with the included brackets and screws, or sits on a desk on the rubber feet.
