The Omada ES220GMP is a 20-port Gigabit Easy Managed switch with sixteen PoE+ ports and a 250 W budget, a rack-mount fit for a 16-camera or mixed camera and AP install. Two SFP slots handle fiber uplinks or links to another switch.

Built for 16-camera and wireless installs

Sixteen ports deliver 802.3af/at PoE+ at up to 30 W each from the 250 W budget, with two more RJ45 ports for data and two Gigabit SFP slots for fiber. Fast PoE and Perpetual PoE keep devices up through a switch reboot, and PoE reach extends to 250 m at a reduced 10 Mbps link. It has one fan, rated 15.0 to 34.3 dBA at 1 m.

Key features

  • 16 PoE+ ports, 250 W total: 802.3af/at at up to 30 W per port for cameras, APs and phones
  • 2 Gigabit SFP slots plus 2 data ports: fiber uplinks or links to a recorder and a second switch
  • Fast PoE and Perpetual PoE: devices power up early and stay powered through a switch reboot
  • PoE reach to 250 m: long camera runs at a reduced 10 Mbps link speed
  • 1U rack mount: brackets and screws included, with a physical security lock slot

System requirements

Powered from a 100-240V AC outlet with the included power cord. Powered devices must be 802.3af or 802.3at compliant. The SFP slots need separate Gigabit SFP modules. Centralized management needs an Omada Cloud-Based, Hardware or Software Controller on built-in version 6.1.0 or later; zero-touch provisioning needs the cloud controller. Without a controller the switch runs standalone from its web interface.

FAQs

How many ports on the ES220GMP have PoE?
Sixteen. They are 802.3af/at PoE+ at up to 30 W per port, sharing a 250 W budget. The two other RJ45 ports and the two SFP slots carry data only.
What is the difference from the ES220GP?
Same port layout. The ES220GMP has a 250 W PoE budget and one fan, while the ES220GP has a 150 W budget and is fanless.
Is the fan loud?
The datasheet lists noise from 15.0 dBA to 34.3 dBA at 1 m, depending on fan speed. Check the closet location if it is near a work area.
Does it need an Omada controller?
No. It runs standalone from its web interface. A controller adds centralized management, and the cloud controller adds zero-touch provisioning.
Does it include SFP modules?
No. The package has the switch, power cord, mounting brackets, mounting feet, screws and guide. Buy Gigabit SFP modules separately.
