The Omada ES210X-M2 is an 8-port 2.5G Easy Managed switch with two 10G SFP+ slots, built to feed multi-gig access points, NAS storage and workstations over a fast fiber uplink. It adopts into the same Omada site as the gateway and APs.

Built for multi-gig devices and fast uplinks

Eight RJ45 ports negotiate 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps or 2.5 Gbps, and the two SFP+ slots give a 10G uplink plus a second 10G link for a server or another switch. 80 Gbps of switching capacity covers every port at wire speed, and 802.1Q, MTU and port-based VLANs, IGMP snooping and loop prevention are built in. The fanless metal case sits on a desk or mounts on a wall.

Key features

  • 8 x 2.5G RJ45 ports: auto-negotiate 100M, 1G and 2.5G, so existing Gigabit devices still connect
  • 2 x 10G SFP+ slots: fiber uplink and a second 10G link for a server or switch
  • 80 Gbps switching capacity: all eight 2.5G ports and both uplinks at wire speed
  • VLANs and IGMP snooping: 802.1Q tagging with up to 32 groups, plus MTU and port-based VLANs
  • Fanless metal case: silent in use, desktop or wall mount, with a physical security lock slot

System requirements

Uses the included 12V DC external power adapter. The SFP+ slots need separate 10G SFP+ modules. Centralized management needs an Omada Cloud-Based, Hardware or Software Controller; zero-touch provisioning needs the cloud controller. Without a controller the switch runs standalone from its web interface.

FAQs

Does the ES210X-M2 have PoE?
No. None of the ports supply PoE. For 2.5G PoE, see the ES210XPP-M2, or power access points and cameras separately.
What speeds do the RJ45 ports run?
100 Mbps, 1 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps with auto-negotiation. The two SFP+ slots run 10G.
Does it need an Omada controller?
No. It runs standalone from its web interface. A controller adds centralized management, and the cloud controller adds zero-touch provisioning.
Does it include SFP+ modules?
No. The package has the switch, power adapter, rubber feet and installation guide. Buy SFP+ modules separately.
Is it loud?
No. It is fanless, so it is silent on a desk or wall.
