The Omada SG3210X-M2 is an 8-port 2.5G L2+ managed switch with two 10G SFP+ slots, sized to feed multi-gig Wi-Fi access points at full speed and hand traffic upstream over 10G. It is fanless and manages in the same Omada site as the gateway and APs.

Built for multi-gig AP and workstation uplinks

Eight 2.5G RJ45 ports reach 2.5 Gbps over existing Cat5e, and two 10G SFP+ slots carry the uplink to the core or a server. With 80 Gbps of switching capacity the ports run at line rate. Static routing, 802.1Q VLANs, ACLs, 802.1X and IGMP snooping cover segmented networks. The metal case has no fan and mounts in a rack or on a desk.

Key features

  • Eight 2.5G ports and two 10G SFP+ slots: multi-gig access with a 10G uplink
  • 80 Gbps switching capacity so every port runs at line rate
  • Fanless metal case: silent, rack or desktop mount
  • L2+ features: static routing, DHCP server, VLANs, ACLs and ERPS ring recovery
  • Zero-touch provisioning and batch firmware upgrades through the Omada Cloud-Based Controller

System requirements

Centralized management needs an Omada Cloud-Based Controller (firmware 5.15.22 or later), Omada hardware controller or Omada Software Controller (5.15.20 or later); zero-touch provisioning needs the cloud controller. Without a controller the switch runs standalone from its own web interface and CLI.

FAQs

Does it need an Omada controller?
No. It runs standalone from its web interface, CLI and SNMP. An Omada controller adds centralized management, and the cloud controller adds zero-touch provisioning.
Does the SG3210X-M2 supply PoE?
No. It has no PoE output. Power APs with PoE injectors or use a PoE model such as the SG3210XHP-M2.
What do the SFP+ slots take?
Two 10G SFP+ slots for fiber or DAC uplinks. Check TP-Link's compatibility list for the modules you plan to use.
Is it fanless?
Yes. It has no fan, so it is silent on a desk or in a small rack.
Can it route between VLANs?
Yes. It is L2+ with 48 IPv4/IPv6 static routes and a DHCP server, so it can route between camera, voice and data VLANs.
