The Omada SM311LS is a 1000BASE-LX Gigabit SFP module for single-mode fiber, rated to 20 km. It is the part for linking a camera closet, a gatehouse or a second building back to the core switch when copper will not reach.
Built for fiber uplinks
The module runs at 1310 nm over 9/125 µm single-mode fiber with an LC duplex connector, and it is hot-swappable, so it can go into a live switch without a reboot. Digital Diagnostic Monitoring reports the optical link's health back to the switch, which helps when you are troubleshooting a long run. It follows the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (SFP-MSA) and is rated from 32°F to 158°F.
