Three detection methods in one point. Alongside the reed switch it carries an accelerometer, so it catches a door or window being struck or levered before it ever opens, and it catches a window being tilted open rather than swung.

Built for the installer

That matters on the openings where a plain contact is not enough. A glazed door being worked on with a bar registers as shock long before the contact separates, and a tilt-and-turn window opened on the tilt never separates the contact at all.

Shock sensitivity runs to three levels and there is an option to ignore a single isolated shock, which keeps a slammed door or a hailstorm from generating a call-out. The tilt threshold is adjustable from 5 to 25 degrees, so it can be tuned to the specific window rather than accepting a default.
