LeaksProtect Jeweller Wireless Water Leak Detector, Black

SKU AJ-42817

  • Fast shipping from four branches
  • 30-day returns on unopened products

A flood detector that responds within 0.15 seconds of getting wet, on either face, so it works whichever way up it ends up under an appliance.

Built for the installer

Water damage is the most common insurance claim in most portfolios and the easiest to sell against, because the customer immediately understands what a burst washing machine hose costs. At this price a detector under every wet appliance is an easy add-on.

Installation is tool-free with nothing to fix, and it drives Ajax automation, so a detection can close a valve rather than only notifying someone.

Key features

  • Detects within 0.15 seconds of contact with water
  • Senses on either side, so orientation under an appliance does not matter
  • Tool-free installation, nothing to fix or drill
  • Up to 5 years on two pre-installed AAA cells
  • Drives automation scenarios, so a leak can close a valve rather than only alerting

System requirements

Requires an Ajax hub or range extender. Indoor use only. Place at the lowest point near appliances and water heaters.

FAQs

Does it matter which way up the detector sits?
No. It detects as soon as it becomes wet on either side, so it works whichever way it ends up when pushed under an appliance.
Where should leak detectors be placed?
At the lowest point near the risk: under sinks, behind washing machines and dishwashers, beside water heaters and in plant rooms.
Can a leak automatically shut off the water?
Yes, through Ajax automation scenarios. Paired with a compatible valve, a detection can close the supply rather than only raising an alert.
Does this device need an Ajax hub?
Yes. All Jeweller devices report to an Ajax hub or a range extender. The device cannot operate standalone and does not connect to a third-party panel directly.
What does the 9NA region code mean?
It is the North America model, operating on the 905.0-926.5 MHz Jeweller band certified to UL/ULC standards. European 868 MHz models are not interchangeable with it.
