A MotionCam with photo on demand. Alongside photographing an alarm, it can be asked for an image at any time from the app, which turns a motion detector into a way of checking on a room without installing a camera in it.

Built for the installer

That distinction matters where a camera would not be accepted. A detector that takes an image on request, rather than streaming continuously, is a far easier conversation in a bedroom, a staff area or a client's private office.

Underneath it is a full PIR detector with the usual Ajax pet immunity and false-alarm filtering, running up to four years on two CR123A cells.

Key features

  • Photo on demand from the app, not only on alarm
  • Acceptable where a camera is not, because it images on request rather than streaming
  • Photo verification on alarm for confirmed response
  • Up to 4 years on two CR123A cells
  • Full PIR detector with Ajax pet immunity and false-alarm filtering

System requirements

Requires an Ajax hub that supports photo verification. Indoor use only.

FAQs

What is photo on demand?
The ability to request an image from the detector at any time through the Ajax app, rather than only receiving photos when an alarm triggers.
How is this different from installing a camera?
It images on request rather than streaming continuously, which is usually accepted in spaces such as bedrooms, staff areas and private offices where a camera would be refused.
Does it still work as a normal motion detector?
Yes. It is a full PIR detector with Ajax pet immunity and false-alarm filtering, with the camera adding verification on top.
Does this device need an Ajax hub?
Yes. All Jeweller devices report to an Ajax hub or a range extender. The device cannot operate standalone and does not connect to a third-party panel directly.
What does the 9NA region code mean?
It is the North America model, operating on the 905.0-926.5 MHz Jeweller band certified to UL/ULC standards. European 868 MHz models are not interchangeable with it.
