The range extender that also carries photos. ReX 2 supports the Wings protocol alongside Jeweller, which is what lets it forward images from MotionCam detectors, and it has an Ethernet port so the extended segment can reach the hub over the network instead of over the air.

Built for the installer

That Ethernet option is the real differentiator. On a site where the far building has a network drop but no reliable radio path, ReX 2 connects over Ethernet and serves the devices around it locally. Photo delivery drops from 18 seconds over Wings to 10 seconds over Ethernet.

Alarm delivery to the hub is 0.3 seconds. Up to 199 devices per extender, five extenders per hub.

It supports the Wings protocol, so it forwards photo verification from MotionCam detectors, and it has an Ethernet port so the extended segment can reach the hub over the network.
How much faster is Ethernet for photo delivery?
Photos arrive in about 10 seconds over Ethernet against 18 seconds over the Wings radio channel, so a wired connection meaningfully improves verification speed.

Does this device need an Ajax hub?
Yes. All Jeweller devices report to an Ajax hub or a range extender. The device cannot operate standalone and does not connect to a third-party panel directly.
What does the 9NA region code mean?
It is the North America model, operating on the 905.0-926.5 MHz Jeweller band certified to UL/ULC standards. European models on 868 MHz are not interchangeable with it.
How quickly is a lost device detected?
Within 36 seconds. Jeweller polls each device continuously, so a jammed, removed or failed device is reported rather than quietly going offline.
