The INT-8AT is a wall-mount temporal horn-strobe rated at 110 cd, the candela level Kidde recommends for sleeping areas where occupants need to be woken by the strobe alone. It runs on 16 to 33 Vdc, self-synchronizes with other Integrity devices on a common circuit, and mounts to a standard North American two-gang box with a single screw.

Built for the commercial fire installer

The horn is field-configurable for temporal or steady tone at high (98 dBA) or low (94 dBA) output, and terminals accept up to #12 AWG for polarized, diode-supervised connections. The red Noryl housing holds up in industrial and high-traffic areas, and the device is fully compatible with Genesis signals sharing the same circuit.

Why choose the 110 cd model over the 15/75 cd version?
Kidde recommends strobes rated at least 110 cd to reliably wake sleeping occupants. Use the INT-8AT in bedrooms and sleeping areas; the INT-7AT covers general wall-mount signaling at 15/75 cd.
Does this horn-strobe need an external sync module?
No for basic self-sync. Devices on a common two-wire circuit self-synchronize within 200 milliseconds. An external control module is required only to meet the tighter UL 1971 standard of 10 milliseconds over two hours.
Is this suitable for outdoor installation?
Yes, when installed in the INT-WB weatherproof surface box. Outdoor operating range is -31°F to 150°F with 98% relative humidity at 40°C.
What box does this mount to?
A standard North American two-gang electrical box, 2-1/2" deep minimum. No separate trim plate is required.
