The Kidde 879DEX-G1 is an explosionproof, diode-polarized vibrating horn built for life safety notification in classified hazardous locations. Rated at 107 dB and powered by 24 VDC, it ties directly into the fire alarm panel's NAC circuit with no additional power supply required.
Built for hazardous environments
UL and ULC listed for Class I Division 1 and 2 (Groups B, C, D), Class II Division 1 and 2 (Groups E, F, G), and Class III locations. The NEMA 4X gray heat-flowed epoxy finish resists corrosion in chemical plants, refineries, grain facilities, and other classified areas where standard notification appliances can't go.

Installation
Each unit ships with a sealing fitting, 3/4" NPT nipple, and wire leads for connection to the NAC circuit. Requires an explosion-proof conduit outlet box (not supplied). Mounts via two brackets using 3/8" diameter maximum fasteners.
