The Kidde Genesis LED EGCS Series ceiling mount speaker drops into standard electrical boxes and delivers clear, high-intelligibility audio notification for commercial fire alarm systems. With a 0.81 STI rating - well above the 0.76 threshold - voice evacuation messages come through sharp enough to act on, no guessing whether that was the alarm on a busy floor.

Selectable 25VRMS and 70VRMS taps let you match the existing NAC circuit without swapping devices. Four wattage settings (1/4W, 1/2W, 1W, 2W) give you precise SPL control across zones. The 520Hz low-frequency capability covers sleeping area requirements where standard horns won't pass inspection. UL 1480 and CAN/ULC-S541 listed.

Does this speaker work on both 25V and 70V systems?
Yes. The Genesis EGCS speaker has selectable 25VRMS and 70VRMS taps, so it works on either system without swapping the device. Tap selection is made at the device during installation.
What electrical boxes does this mount to?
The EGCS ceiling speaker fits 2-gang boxes and 4-inch square boxes with a minimum depth of 1.5 inches. No special mounting hardware required.
