The Genesis LED EGCS ceiling speaker delivers clear, intelligible audio notification with a Speech Transmission Index (STI) of 0.81 - well above the 0.76 threshold considered excellent for emergency voice communication. Field-selectable 25V and 70V operation from a single switch means one SKU covers both system types, and four wattage taps (1/4W, 1/2W, 1W, 2W) let you dial in output for the space without swapping hardware.
Built for the commercial fire alarm installer
The EGCSWN mounts to standard 2-gang and 4-inch square electrical boxes and protrudes under two inches from the ceiling. The included GRSW room-side wiring plate lets you pre-wire and verify continuity before the speaker snaps into place, cutting time on the ceiling. Under-cover diagnostic test points provide circuit access while the device stays mounted. 520Hz low-frequency output meets NFPA requirements for sleeping areas in hotels, dorms, and healthcare facilities. UL 1480 and ULC-S541 listed.
