The EGCLFVHRN is a ceiling or wall mount horn-strobe built around Genesis LED strobe technology, drawing less current per candela setting than legacy xenon strobes so more devices fit on a single NAC circuit with smaller wire and fewer booster power supplies. The included room-side wiring plate lets an installer pre-wire the box and verify continuity with the built-in diagnostics check bar before the appliance ever snaps into place.
Built for the commercial fire installer
Field-selectable candela settings and a slide-switch tone selector (temporal or coded, high or low dB) mean one stocked part covers a range of NAC circuit designs, with the setting visible through a window after the cover closes. Genesis LED strobes are backward compatible with legacy xenon strobes on the same circuit, so retrofits don't require replacing everything at once. Red housing with no marking suits non-fire notification and applications where a plain FIRE label isn't wanted.
Key features
- Low current draw: current stays the same across candela settings, simplifying circuit design and future changes
- Field-selectable candela and sound output, changeable without removing the device from the wiring plate
- Room-side wiring plate included: pre-wire and check continuity before the appliance is installed
- Backward compatible with legacy xenon strobes on the same NAC circuit
- Under-cover diagnostic test points for fast circuit verification while mounted
System requirements
Mounts to 1-gang, 2-gang, 4-inch octagon, or 4-inch square electrical boxes at least 1-1/2" deep. Compatible with Kidde CC-series signal modules, booster/auxiliary power supplies, and intelligent or conventional Kidde control panels.
