SKU:
KD-GSA-CR

The Kidde GSA-CR is a control relay module that gives installers a clean way to silence Genesis Series sounder bases from the FACP. It mounts on the SLC (Signaling Line Circuit) and provides a selectable N.O. or N.C. dry contact rated at 2 amps (24 VDC), letting you tie sounder base silencing into the panel's existing relay programming without running separate NAC wiring.

Built for the fire alarm installer

The GSA-CR is part of Kidde's Intelligent initiating device family and works with any Kidde Intelligent FACP. It addresses on the SLC loop alongside the Genesis Series sounder bases it controls - GSA-S (standard), GSA-SD (standard with drift compensation), and GSA-CSM (ceiling-mount). One module per SLC loop handles silencing for all sounder bases on that circuit.

Key capabilities

  • Field-selectable N.O. or N.C. contact adapts to your panel's relay logic without swapping hardware
  • 2-amp dry contact at 24 VDC handles the sounder base load on a full SLC loop
  • Standard mount form factor installs on the same SLC wiring as the sounder bases it controls
  • Works with all Genesis Series sounder bases including GSA-S, GSA-SD, and GSA-CSM models
  • UL and ULC listed for commercial fire alarm installations in the US and Canada

System requirements

Requires a Kidde Intelligent FACP with SLC loop capacity. The GSA-CR addresses on the SLC and is programmed through the panel's standard point configuration. No additional power supply or NAC circuit required for the module itself.

What does the GSA-CR do?
Silences Genesis Series sounder bases on the SLC loop. When the FACP activates the relay, sounder bases stop sounding - panel-controlled silence without separate NAC wiring to each base.
Which sounder bases does the GSA-CR work with?
All Kidde Genesis Series sounder bases: GSA-S (standard mount), GSA-SD (standard mount with drift compensation), and GSA-CSM (ceiling-mount sounder module).
Does the GSA-CR require a separate power supply?
No. The GSA-CR mounts on the SLC loop and draws its operating power from the Signaling Line Circuit. It provides a dry contact relay output rated at 2A (24 VDC) - no additional power supply or NAC circuit needed for the module itself.
Can I select between N.O. and N.C. operation in the field?
Yes. The GSA-CR has a field-selectable switch for Normally Open or Normally Closed contact configuration, so you can match the panel's relay programming without swapping modules.
What FACP does this require?
Any Kidde Intelligent fire alarm control panel with available SLC loop capacity. The GSA-CR addresses on the SLC and is configured through the panel's standard point programming.
