SKU:
KD-GSA-CRR

The GSA-CRR gives you a single control point for every sounder base on an SLC riser. When the FACP signals the module, it reverses polarity on the 24 VDC riser and every Intelligent sounder base on that circuit activates simultaneously - no per-device addressing required for group notification.

Built for the fire alarm installer

Standard mount format fits a 2-gang box, wires inline on the SLC loop, and uses just 0.2 addresses. Compatible with the full Kidde Intelligent sounder base family: Genesis (GSA-AB4G), Temporal (GSA-SBT), standard (SB4U, SB4U-LF), and Genesis low-frequency (SIGA-AB4G-LF). Pair it with the EG1M-RM Signal Master for synchronized temporal output across the circuit. UL, ULC, CSFM, and MEA listed.

Key features

  • Group activation in one step: reverses riser polarity to sound all connected bases without individual addressing
  • Low SLC footprint: 0.2 addresses (0.1 secondary) - leaves capacity for the rest of the loop
  • Standard mount: installs in a 2-gang box on 12 to 18 AWG wiring
  • Broad base compatibility: works with Genesis, Temporal, standard, and low-frequency Intelligent sounder bases
  • Synchronizable: pair with the EG1M-RM Signal Master for code-compliant synchronized temporal patterns
  • UL, ULC, CSFM, and MEA listed for commercial fire alarm installations

System requirements

Requires a Kidde Signature Series FACP with SLC loop capacity and a 24 VDC riser (16 to 33 VDC operating range). One GSA-CRR controls all sounder bases on the connected riser segment. For individual base control without the relay, address each sounder base directly from the FACP.

How does the GSA-CRR activate sounder bases?
The FACP sends a signal to the GSA-CRR module on the SLC loop. The module reverses polarity on the 24 VDC riser, which activates every Intelligent sounder base wired to that riser segment simultaneously.
What sounder bases work with the GSA-CRR?
All Kidde Intelligent sounder bases: Genesis (GSA-AB4G), Temporal (GSA-SBT), standard (SB4U, SB4U-LF), and Genesis low-frequency (SIGA-AB4G-LF). These mount beneath Intelligent detectors on the same SLC loop.
How many SLC addresses does it use?
0.2 addresses (0.1 secondary). One of the lowest address footprints in the Signature Series lineup.
Can I synchronize sounder output across multiple bases?
Yes. Pair the GSA-CRR with the EG1M-RM Signal Master module to synchronize temporal patterns across all sounder bases on the riser. Required for code-compliant synchronized notification.
What is the difference between the GSA-CRR and GSA-MCRR?
The GSA-CRR is a standard mount module (2-gang box). The GSA-MCRR is a plug-in UIO version that mounts directly into a compatible Signature Series module chassis. Same polarity reversal function, different form factor.
