The KI-RB adds relay functionality right at the detector base, so a KI Series detector can drive a door closer, fan, damper, or other appliance without a separate control module. Normally open or normally closed operation is set at install, and the relay position is supervised so it can't be jarred out of place unnoticed.
Why installers use it
- Dry contact rated 1 A @ 30 VDC (pilot duty), selectable N.O. or N.C. at installation
- Can be programmed at the control panel to act as a control relay, not just a follower of detector state
- Wiring terminals stay accessible from the room side after the base is mounted
Where it fits
Use the KI-RB wherever a KI Series detector needs to trigger a local relay function directly from the base Ć¢ā¬ā note it does not support the GSA-LED remote indicator.
