The SD-ST is the sensor half of a SuperDuct four-wire duct smoke detection setup, wired with screw terminals for jobs where the installer prefers hard-wired connections over RJ45 harnesses.
Built for the commercial fire installer
Pairs with an SD-CT terminal-wired controller (one controller supports up to two sensors), and can mount in tandem with the controller or remotely, connected by standard field wiring instead of a factory harness. Patented differential sensing checks the environment every eight minutes and automatically compensates for dirt and humidity, cutting the sensitivity drift that drives nuisance duct alarms on other detectors.
Key features
- Sensor only - pairs with an SD-CT terminal-wired controller
- Terminal wiring for hard-wired field connections
- Self-compensating sensing: checks for dirt and humidity every 8 minutes and adjusts automatically
- Magnet-activated test/dirty/reset - works through the closed clear cover
System requirements
Requires an SD-CT controller (sold separately). Order an air sampling tube separately to match duct size (exhaust tube included).
