Patented differential sensing checks the environment every eight minutes and automatically compensates for dirt and humidity, cutting the sensitivity drift that drives nuisance duct alarms on other detectors. The magnet-activated test/dirty/reset switch works through the closed clear cover, so routine testing and troubleshooting never require opening the housing. One controller supports up to two detectors, and up to 15 controllers can interconnect for multi-fan shutdown on larger air handling jobs.
