The F-DACT1 adds dual-line central station reporting and remote upload/download capability to Kidde FX Series conventional fire alarm control panels. It installs directly to the panel's main assembly - no external dialer enclosure, no extra wiring runs - and starts transmitting alarm events to your monitoring facility over standard telephone infrastructure.
Built for the fire alarm installer
The module handles both Contact ID and 4/2 communication formats with programmable split or dual reporting to two DACRs. Beyond alarm transmission, the built-in modem connects the panel to local or remote computers for upload/download of configuration data, panel status, and event history - cutting return trips for programming changes. A 2-line by 16-character LCD provides system visibility right at the panel without pulling out a laptop.
Key features
- Dual telephone line reporting: split or dual reporting to two DACRs for redundant central station communication
- Upload/download modem: remote programming, status retrieval, and event history download without an on-site visit
- Built-in 2x16 LCD display: local system visibility and diagnostics right at the panel
- Direct panel mount: installs behind the FX Series front panel display with no external enclosure needed
- Two 7-foot RJ31X cords included: reduces install time and avoids mismatched connectors
- Flexible configuration: runs as full DACT + modem + LCD, or as any subset depending on the job
System compatibility
Compatible with Kidde FX Series conventional fire alarm control panels: FX-5R, FX-5RD, FX-10R, and FX-10RD. Requires two telephone lines for full dual-line DACT operation. Panels are also available with the DACT factory-installed - check the FX Series ordering table for those SKUs.
