The Kidde Genesis GCHFRN-S7VMCH is a high fidelity ceiling-mount speaker-strobe built for commercial fire alarm and life safety notification. The 520 Hz low-frequency tone meets NFPA 72 requirements for sleeping areas in hotels, dormitories, and residential occupancies - no separate audio system needed when paired with compatible Genesis hardware and a factory-supplied 520 Hz tone file.

Built for the commercial installer

This device flush-mounts to any standard North American 4-inch square electrical box (2-1/8" deep) or 960A-4RF round flush box with no extension ring or trim plate required. The low-profile housing sits about 1" below the ceiling - 30% slimmer than comparable signals. A hinged cover opens for quick access to candela and wattage switches, and field configuration stays visible through small windows on the front after installation. No need to pull the device to verify settings.

System requirements

Powers from the fire alarm control panel's NAC circuit at 16-33 VDC (24 VDC nominal). Connects via polarized screw terminals using #18 to #12 AWG wiring. Synchronization with compatible Genesis sources (GSA-CC1S, SIGA-CC2A, EG1M-RM, and others) meets UL 1971 requirements with a maximum 20 ohm loop resistance between any two devices.
