SKU:
KD-GCSVWA-G

The Kidde Genesis GCSVWA-G is a ceiling-mount speaker/strobe built for mass notification on Kidde intelligent fire alarm systems. Green lens and ALERT marking distinguish it from fire alarm appliances at a glance, and the 75 cd strobe output keeps the notification visible across open floor plans, corridors, and large commercial spaces.

Built for the commercial installer

Part of the Genesis ceiling notification family, the GCSVWA-G mounts to standard 4-inch square electrical boxes, single-gang, double-gang, or 4-inch octagon boxes with no special hardware. UL 1971 and UL 1638 listed for strobe and speaker applications. Compatible with Kidde intelligent fire alarm control panels, and pairs with EG1M-RM, GSA-CC1S, or GSA-MCC1S synchronization modules for code-compliant temporal flash patterns across multi-device circuits.

Key features

  • Mass notification configuration: green lens with ALERT marking for clear visual differentiation from fire alarm signals
  • 75 cd strobe output: rated for open commercial spaces, corridors, and large rooms
  • Standard mounting: fits 4-inch square, single-gang, double-gang, or 4-inch octagon electrical boxes
  • Low-profile Genesis ceiling design: compact footprint with wide-angle strobe coverage
  • Synchronizable: pair with EG1M-RM, GSA-CC1S, or GSA-MCC1S modules for synchronized flash across multi-device NAC circuits
  • UL 1971 and UL 1638 listed for commercial fire alarm and mass notification applications

System requirements

Requires a Kidde intelligent FACP with NAC or speaker circuit outputs. Strobe circuit operates on 16-33 VDC (FWR). Speaker operates on 25V or 70V (model-dependent) with selectable wattage taps at 1/4, 1/2, 1, or 2 watt. Wire gauge: 12 to 18 AWG.

What's the difference between mass notification and fire alarm speaker/strobes?
Mass notification models use green, amber, or blue lenses with ALERT marking, while fire alarm models use red lenses with FIRE marking. This lets occupants and responders distinguish fire events from other emergencies at a glance.
What electrical box does this mount to?
Standard 4-inch square, single-gang, double-gang, or 4-inch octagon electrical boxes. No special trim ring or adapter needed.
Does this require a synchronization module?
For synchronized strobe flash across multiple devices on a NAC circuit, pair with the EG1M-RM, GSA-CC1S, or GSA-MCC1S sync module. Required by NFPA 72 when multiple visible appliances share a field of view.
Is this compatible with my Kidde FACP?
Yes. The Genesis GCSVWA-G connects to Kidde intelligent fire alarm control panels. Strobe circuit wires to NAC outputs (16-33 VDC FWR). Speaker circuit wires to 25V or 70V speaker outputs depending on model configuration.
What wire gauge does this require?
12 to 18 AWG. Follow the FACP's notification circuit wiring tables for voltage drop calculations on longer runs.
