The Genesis GCSVWA-B is a ceiling-mount speaker/strobe built for mass notification systems. Blue lens with ALERT marking differentiates it from fire alarm appliances on sight, keeping notification zones clearly coded. Low-profile Genesis design sits just 1" off the ceiling - 30% slimmer than comparable signals - so it installs clean and stays out of the way until it's needed.
Built for the commercial installer
Flush-mounts to any standard North American 4-inch square electrical box (2-1/8" deep) or 960A-4RF round flush box with no extension ring required. Speaker wattage and strobe candela are both field-configurable after installation - open the hinged cover, adjust the switches, close it. Settings stay visible through indicator windows on the front of the device, locked in place to prevent unauthorized changes.
Key features
- Field-selectable candela output: 6, 12, 31, or 40 cd - set on-site without removing the device from the box
- Field-selectable speaker wattage: 1/4, 1/2, 1, or 2 W operation on 25 VRMS or 70 VRMS circuits
- Up to 90 dBA sound output at the 2W tap for clear, intelligible voice audio across large areas
- UL 1638, UL 1971, and UL 1480 listed with ULC-S541, MEA, and CSFM approvals
- Precision strobe synchronization meets or exceeds UL 1971 synchronization requirements when paired with compatible Genesis sync modules
- Textured UV-stabilized housing exceeds 94V-0 UL flammability rating, white finish
