The Kidde Genesis GCSVRA-A is a ceiling-mount mass notification speaker/strobe that combines audible and visual alerting in a single low-profile device. Red housing with amber lens and ALERT marking keeps it instantly distinguishable from fire alarm devices on the same facility - a code requirement for any building running both life safety and mass notification circuits.

Built for the commercial installer

Part of the Genesis GC Series, this speaker/strobe mounts flush to any standard North American 4-inch square electrical box (2-1/8" deep) with no extension ring or trim plate required. Field-configurable wattage taps (1/4W, 1/2W, 1W, 2W) and selectable candela output let you tune sound pressure and strobe intensity on-site without swapping hardware. Candela and wattage settings stay visible through small windows on the device face and lock to prevent unauthorized changes.

Does this work for both fire alarm and mass notification?
This model is for mass notification only. ALERT marking and amber lens distinguish it from fire alarm devices per code. For fire alarm signaling, use FIRE-marked Genesis GC models with clear lens.
What electrical box does this mount to?

Can I adjust the candela and volume in the field?
Yes. Wattage taps (1/4W, 1/2W, 1W, 2W) and candela output are both field-configurable via switches accessible from the device face. Settings lock in place and remain visible through inspection windows after installation.
Does the strobe synchronize with other devices?
