SKU:
KD-WG4RN-HVMHC

The WG4RN-HVMHC covers audible and high-output visual signaling in one weatherproof device, built for parking garages, loading docks, and other exposed areas where a standard-output strobe won't cut it.

Built for the commercial fire installer

The piezo horn reaches up to 97 dBA (UL 464) with field-selectable high/low output and coded or temporal patterns, while the strobe's four high-output candela settings (102/123/147/161 cd indoor) are set the same way - open the cover and slide a switch, no separate model needed per candela rating. Settings stay visible after the cover goes back on through a sealed viewport. The full backplane sealing gasket allows installation to recessed in-the-pour boxes as well as surface boxes, and the shallow, low-profile housing rejects the elements down to -40°F.

Key features

  • Up to 97 dBA horn output (UL 464), field-selectable high/low
  • Field-selectable high-output strobe candela - 4 settings without swapping devices
  • Rated -40°F to 151°F, indoor or outdoor
  • Wall or ceiling mount, strobe positionable above, below, or to either side
  • UL 1971 synchronization compatible with Genesis signals on the same circuit
  • Coded or temporal horn pattern, field-configurable via circuit board jumper

System requirements

Wet locations require a Model 449 or 74347U outdoor-rated box; dry locations use a standard 4-inch square by 1-1/2-inch deep box (2-1/8-inch deep if using the optional WG4RTS trim skirt). Strobe synchronization requires a compatible control module (VM/VS/FX Series panels or GSA-CC1S/SIGA-CC2A-family modules).

Horn output:
Up to 97 dBA (UL 464) / 104 dBA (ULC-S525), high/low selectable
Horn tone:
3.2 kHz, coded or temporal pattern (field-configurable)
Operating voltage:
24 Vdc / 24 VFWR nominal
Operating environment:
-40°F to 151°F (-40°C to 66°C), 0-95% RH noncondensing
Wire size:
12 to 18 AWG
Mounting:
Wet: Model 449 or 74347U box; Dry: 4" square x 1-1/2" deep box (2-1/8" with trim skirt)
Can the horn output be changed after installation?
Yes. Horns are factory set to high dB output; cutting a jumper on the circuit board selects low output, reducing volume by about 5 dB.
Can I select a different candela setting without ordering a new device?
Yes. High-output models offer four field-selectable candela settings, viewable through a sealed viewport after installation.
What box is needed for outdoor installation?
A Model 449 or 74347U outdoor-rated electrical box is recommended for wet locations.
Does this synchronize with other Genesis strobes?
Yes. It meets UL 1971 synchronization requirements (within 10 ms over 2 hours) when used with a compatible synchronization source.
