The Genesis WG4 outdoor speaker/strobe handles fire alarm and mass notification signaling in parking garages, loading docks, process areas, and other wet or harsh environments where standard indoor appliances won't survive. Rated from -31°F to 151°F with a full backplane sealing gasket, it installs to recessed or surface-mounted boxes and wires entirely from room-side.
Built for the commercial installer
Dual-voltage speaker (25V or 70V, switch-selectable) with four wattage taps from 1/4W to 2W covers a wide range of signaling zones without swapping hardware. The standard-output strobe is field-configurable across four settings - 15, 29, 70, or 87 cd (UL 1971 indoor) or 6, 12, 28, 35 cd (UL 1638 outdoor). All settings stay visible through a sealed viewport after the cover goes back on. Synchronization-compatible with Genesis protocols and all Kidde VM, VS, and FX Series panels.

System requirements
Speaker circuit connects to a supervised amplifier signal circuit (25.2V or 70.7V RMS). Strobe circuit requires 24 VDC or 24 VFWR nominal from a compatible FACP or NAC power supply. For outdoor or wet surface mounting, use the Kidde 74347U electrical box. Dry locations accept standard 4-inch by 1-1/2-inch deep boxes. Optional WG4WTS trim skirt requires a 74347U or 2-1/8-inch deep box.
