The Kidde Genesis WG4 outdoor-rated speaker handles fire alarm signaling in wet and harsh environments where standard indoor appliances won't hold up. Dual-voltage operation (25 VRMS or 70 VRMS, field-selectable) and four wattage taps (1/4W through 2W) let you match output to the space - from a quiet corridor to a wide-open parking deck.
Built for the commercial installer
UL 1480 listed for indoor and UL 1638 listed for outdoor applications, the WG4 mounts to standard 4-inch square electrical boxes on walls or ceilings. For outdoor or wet locations, pair it with the Kidde 74347U surface mount box. A full backplane sealing gasket comes standard, and room-side wiring (18-12 AWG) means all connections happen from the front of the device - no reaching behind the box.
