SKU:
KD-RZI16-2RS

The RZI16-2RS Remote Zone Interface Module consolidates sixteen Class B initiating device circuits and two supervised output circuits onto a single addressable module, cutting the SLC hardware count on large retrofit and expansion jobs. Rotary switch addressing keeps setup familiar for installers already running Kidde intelligent systems.

Built for the commercial fire installer

Each of the 16 IDC inputs is individually configurable as an alarm or supervisory/monitor point, and the module recognizes the CleanMe signal from supported detectors. The two output circuits are field-selectable via onboard jumpers and DIP switches as either supervised NAC outputs or unsupervised Form C dry relay contacts, so one module covers notification and auxiliary control (door closers, fans, dampers) without separate hardware. Mounts in MFC(A), APS, iO1000, or VS4 cabinet enclosures using the included RZI-MPL bracket.

Key features

  • 16 Class B IDC inputs on one module, each individually set to alarm or supervisory
  • 2 configurable output circuits: supervised NAC or unsupervised Form C relay, selected per circuit
  • Rotary switch addressing for familiar setup on Kidde intelligent systems
  • CleanMe signal support for compatible detectors
  • Mounts in multiple enclosures: MFC(A), APS, iO1000, and VS4 cabinets, bracket included
  • UL 864 / CAN/ULC S527 listed for fire protective signaling systems

System requirements

Requires a Kidde FX-64 or FX-1000 series intelligent fire alarm control panel. Use a dedicated 24 VDC AUX circuit to power the module separately from the circuit powering its NAC outputs, per the installation sheet wiring diagrams.

How many devices can this module support?
16 Class B initiating device circuits plus 2 supervised output circuits, each individually configurable as alarm or supervisory input, or NAC or dry relay output.
What control panels is this module compatible with?
Kidde FX-64 and FX-1000 series intelligent fire alarm systems.
Can the outputs be used as relays instead of NAC circuits?
Yes. Each output circuit is field-selectable as a supervised NAC or an unsupervised Form C dry relay contact via onboard jumpers and DIP switches.
What enclosures does this module mount in?
MFC(A) accessory enclosures, Auxiliary Power Supply (APS) enclosures, and iO1000 or VS4 cabinet enclosures, using the included RZI-MPL mounting bracket.
Does this module require dedicated power wiring?
Yes. Use a separate 24 VDC AUX circuit for the module's own power from the circuit powering its NAC outputs, per the installation sheet wiring diagrams.
