The FX-IDCWS connects two normally-open initiating device circuits to a Kidde FX Series fire alarm control panel on a single SLC address pair - one waterflow alarm circuit and one supervisory circuit. Rotary TENS and ONES dials set the address on-site with no programming tool required, and the compact footprint fits standard 4-inch electrical boxes.

Each module requires two consecutive addresses on the SLC loop and monitors both circuits independently. A waterflow switch activation reports as an alarm condition, while a supervisory switch activation reports as a supervisory condition. Class B circuit operation with 47 k EOL supervision keeps wiring straightforward. Compatible with Kidde FX Series intelligent analog addressable fire alarm control panels. UL and ULC listed.

How many SLC addresses does this module use?
Two consecutive addresses per module. One address monitors the waterflow alarm circuit, the other monitors the supervisory circuit.
Does this work with Kidde VS Series panels?
No. The FX-IDCWS is designed for the Kidde FX Series analog addressable fire alarm control panels only. Check the VS Series module catalog for compatible alternatives.
What EOL resistor does this require?
47 kΩ (Kidde P/N: EOL-47). One resistor per IDC circuit, installed at the end of line.
Will this fit a standard 4-inch square box?
Yes. Mounts in a standard North American 4-inch square box, either 1-1/2" or 2-1/2" deep, or a 2-gang box. No special backbox or trim ring required.
What wire gauge can I use?
12, 14, 16, or 18 AWG. Maximum circuit resistance is 50 Ω (25 Ω per wire), maximum capacitance 0.1 μF.
