The FX-IDCWS connects two normally-open initiating device circuits to a Kidde FX Series fire alarm control panel on a single SLC address pair - one waterflow alarm circuit and one supervisory circuit. Rotary TENS and ONES dials set the address on-site with no programming tool required, and the compact footprint fits standard 4-inch electrical boxes.
Built for the commercial fire alarm installer
Each module requires two consecutive addresses on the SLC loop and monitors both circuits independently. A waterflow switch activation reports as an alarm condition, while a supervisory switch activation reports as a supervisory condition. Class B circuit operation with 47 k EOL supervision keeps wiring straightforward. Compatible with Kidde FX Series intelligent analog addressable fire alarm control panels. UL and ULC listed.
Key features
- Dual IDC monitoring on one module: waterflow alarm and supervisory circuits share a single device, reducing panel point count and box fill
- Rotary address dials: set TENS and ONES on-site without a laptop or programming tool
- Standard box mounting: fits 4-inch square boxes (1-1/2" or 2-1/2" deep) and 2-gang boxes
- Low SLC loop load: 550 A standby, 725 A activated - leaves headroom on longer loops
- Wide operating range: 32F to 120F at up to 93% RH, suitable for mechanical rooms and riser closets
System requirements
Requires a Kidde FX Series analog addressable fire alarm control panel and connection to an SLC loop. Each module occupies two consecutive addresses. Wire with 12-18 AWG conductors, max 50 circuit resistance. Supervised with 47 k EOL resistor (P/N: EOL-47, ordered separately).
