SKU:
KD-GSA-MCC2

The Kidde GSA-MCC2 connects two initiating device circuits to a Kidde intelligent fire alarm control panel over a single SLC loop - no dedicated wire runs back to the panel for each zone. Two rotary-addressed IDC inputs fit into one compact module, cutting install time on mid-size commercial jobs where zone count stacks up fast.

Built for the commercial fire alarm installer

Class A (Style Z) and Class B (Style Y) circuit operation covers both riser and branch wiring topologies. Each module consumes two consecutive SLC addresses starting with an even number, and the panel auto-maps both zones on enrollment. The module ships configured as alarm-latching from factory - supervisory and monitor types are field-selectable at the panel.

Key features

  • Two IDC zones per module: cuts device count and SLC address consumption on multi-zone jobs
  • Class A and Class B wiring support: matches the riser topology already on the job, no adapter modules needed
  • SLC loop powered: no separate power supply required at the module location
  • Rotary address switches: set addresses in the field without a laptop or programming tool
  • Standard electrical box mounting: fits 4" square x 2-1/2" deep 2-gang or standard 4" square 1-1/2" deep boxes
  • Compatible with Kidde FX Series panels: works with both 64-point and 1000-point intelligent fire alarm control panels

System requirements

Requires a Kidde FX Series intelligent fire alarm control panel with available SLC capacity. Two consecutive addresses (starting even) per module. 47 kΩ EOL resistor (P/N: EOL-47) required at the end of each IDC zone. Preferred wire sizes: 16 and 18 AWG.

What does the GSA-MCC2 monitor?
Connects two normally open, alarm, supervisory, or monitor type dry contact initiating device circuits (IDCs) to a Kidde intelligent fire alarm panel over the SLC loop.
Does this module support Class A wiring?
Yes. The module supports both Class A (Style Z) and Class B (Style Y) circuit operation. When using Class A, both IDC zones on the module must be set for Class A at the panel.
How many SLC addresses does the GSA-MCC2 use?
Two consecutive addresses starting with an even number. The panel maps both IDC zones automatically on enrollment.
What fire alarm panels is this compatible with?
Compatible with Kidde FX Series intelligent fire alarm control panels, both 64-point and 1000-point configurations.
What EOL resistor does it require?
47 kΩ end-of-line resistor (Kidde P/N: EOL-47) at the end of each IDC zone.
Does this module need a separate power supply?
No. The module is powered directly from the SLC loop. No external power supply or additional wiring is required at the module location.
