The SA-232 adds an RS-232 port to the panel's main board so you can hang a system printer off the panel for event logging, or connect a PC to upload and download configuration, history, and current status.

Built for the commercial fire installer

It installs the same way as the panel's other interface cards — ribbon cable to a dedicated connector on the main board — with no separate enclosure or power supply. Field wiring runs on labeled RTS, TXD, RXD, and GND conductors up to 50 feet, and the card supports standard 9600-baud printer communication for straightforward event logging on-site.
