The Genesis G4 Speaker-Strobe delivers clear voice audio and amber strobe notification in Kidde's lowest-profile wall mount form factor - just one inch from the wall. Field-selectable wattage taps (1/4, 1/2, 1, or 2W) and candela output let you dial in coverage without pulling the device off the box, cutting install time and eliminating return trips for adjustments.
Built for the commercial installer
Flush-mounts to any standard North-American 4-inch square electrical box (2-1/8" deep) with no extension ring or trim plate required. Separate polarized screw terminals for speaker and strobe circuits accept #18 to #12 AWG wiring. Red housing with ALERT marking and amber polycarbonate lens positions this device for fire alarm signaling applications. UL 1971, UL 1638, UL 1480, and ULC-S541 listed. MEA and CSFM approved.
Key features
- Field-configurable output: selectable wattage (1/4W, 1/2W, 1W, 2W) and candela (95, 65, 26, 13 cd) without removing the device from the box
- Ultra low-profile: protrudes just 1" from the wall with no visible mounting screws
- 25 VRMS or 70 VRMS operation with DC blocking capacitor for audio circuit supervision
- FullLight strobe technology for even light distribution across the coverage area
- Synchronized strobes when paired with compatible Kidde sync sources (GSA-CC1S, SIGA-CC2A, and others)
- Fits standard 4" square boxes - no extension ring or trim plate needed
System requirements
Requires a listed FACP or audio amplifier with supervised speaker circuit (25 VRMS or 70 VRMS). Strobe circuit requires 16-33 Vdc regulated or full-wave rectified power. A synchronization source is required for UL 1971 compliance on multi-strobe circuits.
