The Kidde Genesis G4 Speaker-Strobe delivers clear audio and bright amber visual notification from a wall-mount form factor that protrudes just one inch from the wall. Purpose-built for mass notification applications, it fits flush on standard 4-inch square electrical boxes with no visible mounting screws and no extension ring required.

Built for the commercial installer

Field-configurable wattage (1/4, 1/2, 1, or 2 watt) and selectable candela output (13, 26, 65, or 95 cd) mean you set the device to the job without pulling it off the wall. The sealed-back 4-inch mylar cone produces clear, intelligible audio across 25 VRMS or 70 VRMS speaker circuits, while the amber polycarbonate strobe lens meets UL 1638 requirements for mass notification signaling. UL/ULC listed, MEA approved.

Compatible synchronization sources include GSA-CC1S, GSA-MCC1S, SIGA-CC2A, GSA-MCC2A, EG1M-RM, MIRBPS6A, MIRBPS10A, APS6A, APS10A, VS Series, and Fireshield Plus 5 and 10 zone panels. Optional surface mount with EG4B box (white) for applications without a flush back box.

Does this speaker-strobe work for mass notification?
Yes. The amber lens meets UL 1638 requirements for mass notification signaling, differentiating mass notification alerts from fire alarm signals. This model is not approved for fire alarm applications.
Can I adjust the strobe brightness after installation?
Yes. The candela output is field-selectable (13, 26, 65, or 95 cd) via a switch visible through the bottom of the device. No need to remove the unit from the wall.
What wattage settings are available?
The speaker supports selectable wattage taps at 1/4, 1/2, 1, or 2 watts. The setting is visible through a window on the bottom of the device and can be changed without removing the speaker-strobe.
Will this fit a standard 4-inch electrical box?
Yes. Mounts flush to any North-American 4" square electrical box, 2-1/8" (54 mm) deep. For surface mounting, use the optional EG4B (white) surface mount box. No extension ring or trim plate required.
