SKU:
KD-G4SVWN-G

The Kidde Genesis LED G4SVWN-G is a wall-mount mass notification speaker-strobe with a green LED strobe and white housing. It combines high-fidelity audio with energy-efficient LED strobe technology in a low-profile package that protrudes just 1.62 inches from the wall, reducing visual impact while delivering clear, intelligible voice output where it matters.

Built for the commercial installer

The Genesis LED G4 series mounts to any standard two-gang or 4-inch-square electrical box using the GRSW room-side wiring plate (ordered separately). Pre-wire and verify continuity with the included diagnostics check bar before snapping the device into place. Field-selectable wattage taps (1/4W, 1/2W, 1W, 2W) and dual 25V/70V speaker voltage keep inventory simple - one SKU covers multiple system configurations. Strobe synchronization stays well within NFPA 72 requirements when paired with a compatible Kidde synchronization source.

Key features

  • Green LED strobe at 65 cd for mass notification differentiation from fire alarm signals
  • High-fidelity speaker with .81 STI rating - rated "excellent" for speech intelligibility in emergency audio
  • Field-selectable 25V or 70V operation from a single SKU, plus 1/4W to 2W wattage taps
  • Ultra-low current draw (28 mA DC) allows more devices per NAC circuit and fewer booster power supplies
  • Backwards compatible with legacy Xenon strobes on the same circuit and in the same field of view
  • 520Hz low-frequency capable for NFPA-compliant sleeping area notification applications

System requirements

Requires the GRSW room-side wiring plate (sold in 10-packs as GRSW-10). Strobe circuit operates on 16-33 VDC or 16-33 VFWR from a compatible NAC. Speaker circuit connects to a 25VRMS or 70VRMS supervised audio amplifier. Compatible synchronization sources include Kidde CC Series Signal Modules and Kidde Intelligent and Conventional Control Panels.

Does the green lens strobe have the same current draw as other lens colors?
Yes. All Genesis LED G4 Mass Notification strobe lens colors (amber, red, green, blue) draw the same current - 28 mA DC or 36 mA VFWR - regardless of candela output.
Does the green lens have the same current draw as other colors?
Yes. All G4 Mass Notification lens colors (amber, red, green, blue) draw 28 mA DC or 36 mA VFWR regardless of candela output.
Can this be mixed with existing Xenon strobes?
Yes. Genesis LED Mass Notification appliances are backwards compatible with legacy Xenon strobes on the same circuit and in the same field of view. Direct fit for retrofit projects.
What mounting hardware is required?
Requires the GRSW room-side wiring plate (sold in 10-packs as GRSW-10). Mounts to standard two-gang or 4-inch-square boxes. Optional G4T trim rings and surface mount boxes also available.
Is this approved for sleeping area applications?
Yes. 520Hz low-frequency capable, meets NFPA standards for newly constructed commercial sleeping areas with approved audio hardware and factory-supplied 520Hz tone.
How do I change the wattage or voltage setting?
Both are field-configurable via slide switches under the cover. Wattage (1/4W-2W) is visible through a side window without removing the device. The 25V/70V switch is also under the cover.
What separates mass notification from fire alarm Genesis models?
Mass notification models use colored lenses (amber, red, green, blue) and can omit the FIRE marking. Same platform and electrical specs as fire alarm G4 models but intended for non-fire alerts.
