The VM-SLCXB2 adds two addressable SLC loops to the Kidde VM fire alarm control panel. It plugs into the panel's expansion slot and brings two full signaling line circuits online, expanding device capacity for larger commercial projects without stepping up to a bigger chassis or adding a second panel.
Built for the commercial installer
Each loop terminates at its own green terminal block (LOOP1 at top, LOOP2 at bottom) with separate A and B circuit pairs. Circuits are power-limited per NFPA 72 requirements, and the board carries UL listing as a Type P-E signaling subassembly rated for indoor dry installation. On-board rotary switches and DIP settings handle loop configuration at the card level - no laptop or software tool needed to commission it.
Key features
- Two additional SLC loops per card - expand device capacity on the VM panel without a chassis upgrade
- Dedicated LOOP1 and LOOP2 terminal blocks with clearly labeled A/B circuit pairs for clean wiring
- Power-limited circuits per NFPA 72 and UL requirements
- UL Listed signaling subassembly (Type P-E) for indoor dry installation
- On-board rotary and DIP configuration - no software programming required to bring loops online
- Direct slot installation into the VM panel expansion bay
System requirements
Requires a Kidde VM series fire alarm control panel with an available expansion slot. Consult the VM panel installation manual for slot assignment, loop loading limits, and maximum device counts per loop before specifying.
