The VM-SLCXB2 is a two-loop signaling line controller (SLC) expansion card for the Kidde VM fire alarm panel family. It plugs into the panel's expansion slot to add two additional addressable SLC loops, expanding the panel's device count for larger projects without stepping up to a higher-tier chassis.
Built for the commercial installer
Each loop is wired through dedicated terminal blocks at the top and bottom of the card (LOOP1 and LOOP2), with separate connections for the A and B circuit pairs. Circuits are power-limited per the on-card labeling, and the assembly carries UL listing as a signaling subassembly for indoor dry installation. Configuration is handled by on-board rotary switches and DIP positions ā no software tool required to bring it online.
