The VM-SLCXB adds SLC loop capacity to Kidde VS-Series fire alarm control panels without swapping the main board. It ships with one VM-SLC signaling line circuit card preinstalled and accepts a second VM-SLC card (ordered separately) for a total of two additional device loops supporting V-Series detectors and GSA modules.
Built for the commercial installer
Each loop supports Class A or Class B wiring configurations, giving you the flexibility to match the site's existing riser topology. Power-limited circuits keep the install within code requirements. Assembled in the USA.
Key features
- Adds up to two SLC loops: each configurable as Class A or Class B for V-Series detectors and GSA modules
- One VM-SLC card preinstalled - second loop requires an additional VM-SLC card ordered separately
- Power-limited circuits for code-compliant installations
- Drop-in installation inside existing VS-Series fire alarm control panels
- Assembled in the USA
System requirements
Requires a compatible Kidde VS-Series intelligent fire alarm control panel (VS1, VS4, or equivalent). The expansion board installs directly into the panel enclosure and connects to the panel's SLC bus.
