What Genesis devices does this cover fit?
The EG4AVWA-CVR fits Genesis LED EG4 Series wall mount horn-strobe (audio/visual) bases. It will not fit EG1 compact devices, EGC ceiling mount devices, or older non-LED Genesis wall mounts.
Do I need to remove the device from the wall to swap the cover?
No. The cover snaps onto the front of the installed chassis. The base, backbox wiring, and FACP addressing all stay in place.
Can I change a FIRE-marked device to ALERT with just a cover swap?
Yes. Swapping the cover changes the faceplate marking without affecting device function. Order the cover with the marking you need (ALERT, FIRE, AGENT, or plain).
Does this cover work with both horn-only and strobe-only EG4 models?
No. This is specifically the horn-strobe (AV) cover with both the speaker grille and strobe lens cutout. Horn-only and strobe-only models use different covers matched to their device type.
