The EG4AVRN-CVR is a snap-on replacement cover for Kidde Genesis LED EG4 Series wall mount horn-strobe notification appliances. Red housing with no "FIRE" marking - swap covers in the field to change marking or color without rewiring or removing the device from the backbox.

Built for field serviceability

Genesis LED EG4 covers remove with a flathead screwdriver and snap back into place. Need to go from "FIRE" marked to unmarked on an installed, wired appliance Pull the old cover, snap this one on. No NAC circuit interruption, no wire pulls, no backbox work. The cover preserves full access to the under-cover field-configuration switches for strobe candela output and horn dB settings.

FAQs

Does this cover fit Genesis EG1 or EGC ceiling models?
No. The EG4AVRN-CVR is specific to Genesis LED EG4 Series wall mount horn-strobe appliances. EG1 compact and EGC ceiling mount models use different cover geometries and are not interchangeable.
Can I swap from a FIRE-marked cover to this unmarked cover in the field?
Yes. The cover snaps off and on without disturbing the NAC wiring or removing the appliance from the backbox. Use a flathead screwdriver to release the existing cover, then snap this one into place.
Does this include the wiring plate or electronics?
No. The EG4AVRN-CVR is the cover only. The GP10 room-side wiring plate, circuit board, horn driver, and strobe LEDs are part of the base horn-strobe appliance, sold separately.
Will the strobe candela and horn output settings carry over after a cover swap?
Yes. The field-configuration switches for candela output (15, 30, 75, 110 cd) and horn dB level are on the base electronics, not the cover. Swapping the cover does not change any settings.
What is the difference between the -CVR SKUs?
The suffix tells you color and marking. EG4AVRN-CVR is red with no marking. EG4AVRF-CVR is red with FIRE marking. EG4AVWN-CVR is white with no marking. EG4AVWF-CVR is white with FIRE marking. All fit the same EG4 horn-strobe base.
