The Kidde EG4ARN is a wall mount notification horn in the Genesis LED EG4 Series. It delivers selectable high or low dB output with constant or TC3 temporal patterns, pulling as little as 18 mA on a 24 VDC NAC circuit. Red housing with no marking fits commercial spaces where code requires audible notification without visible "FIRE" labeling.

Built for the commercial fire installer

The EG4 Series mounts to standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-inch octagon, or 4-inch square boxes with no visible mounting screws. At just 1.62 inches deep, it sits tight to the wall surface. The GP10 room side wiring plate comes included, keeping 12-18 AWG in/out screw terminal connections accessible without pulling the device off the wall. UL listed (S218, S5389) and FCC certified.

What electrical boxes does the EG4ARN mount to?
Standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-inch octagon, and 4-inch square electrical boxes. No special mounting hardware required.
Can I switch between high and low dB output in the field?
Yes. The EG4ARN has a field-selectable switch for high (85/92 dBA) or low (80/86 dBA reverberant/anechoic) output. No tools or reprogramming required.
What is the current draw per device on the NAC circuit?
At 24 VDC: 18 mA (low), 28 mA (high). At 24 VFWR: 22 mA (low), 38 mA (high). Low draw maximizes devices per NAC loop.
Does the EG4ARN synchronize with other Genesis notification devices?
Yes. Syncs with other Genesis LED devices when loop resistance is 20 Ī© or less. Sync sources: Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster/Auxiliary Power Supplies, Intelligent and Conventional FACPs.
What does No Marking mean on the EG4ARN?
The EG4ARN ships with a plain red faceplate - no "FIRE" text or lettering. Required in some jurisdictions or applications where visible fire alarm labeling is not desired or code-mandated.
