The Kidde Genesis EG4SWF wall-mount speaker delivers clear, intelligible fire alarm audio from a low-profile housing that protrudes just one inch from the wall. Field-selectable wattage taps (1/4, 1/2, 1, or 2 watt) let you fine-tune sound output for each zone without removing the device - slide the switch, confirm the setting through the visible window, and move to the next head.

Built for the commercial installer

The Genesis platform mounts flush to standard North-American 4-inch square electrical boxes (2-1/8" minimum depth). The included GP10 room side wiring plate supports pre-installation and pre-wiring before the speaker arrives on site. Snap the speaker onto the plate, confirm continuity with the built-in diagnostics check bar, and the job is done - no visible mounting screws, no extension rings required. UL and ULC listed (File No. S2813). MEA and CSFM approved.

What wattage settings does this speaker support?
Selectable 1/4, 1/2, 1, or 2 watt. Adjust the setting by sliding the switch on the bottom of the device without removing it from the wall. The current setting is visible through a small window on the housing.
What electrical box does this mount to?
Standard North-American 4-inch square electrical box, 2-1/8" (54 mm) deep minimum. No extension ring required. Optional EG4TW trim plate for oversized openings. Surface mount boxes available.
Does the GP10 room side wiring plate come included?
Yes. The GP10 wiring plate ships with every Genesis EG4 speaker for pre-installation and pre-wiring. Includes a diagnostics check bar for verifying continuity before snapping the speaker into place.
Is this model approved for sleeping room applications?
No. This is a standard-frequency speaker. NFPA 72 sleeping room applications require 520 Hz low-frequency signaling, available in Genesis G4HF High Fidelity models. Contact SS&Si for low-frequency alternatives.
How far does this protrude from the wall?
Approximately 1 inch (25 mm). The low-profile design eliminates visible mounting screws for a clean, professional appearance.
