The Kidde Genesis LED EG4 horn-strobe delivers both audible and visual notification from a single wall-mount device, cutting install time and NAC circuit load on commercial fire alarm jobs. Field-selectable candela settings (15, 30, 75, or 110 cd) and dual horn patterns (TC3 temporal or constant) let you configure at the device instead of stocking multiple SKUs.
Built for the commercial fire alarm installer
The EG4 runs on 16-33 VDC or 16-33 VFWR, compatible with most conventional and intelligent fire alarm panels. It mounts to standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-inch octagon, or 4-inch square electrical boxes - no proprietary backboxes required. Room side wiring plate (GP10) ships included, so wiring connections stay accessible after the device is installed. UL 1971 and UL 464 listed, with ULC-S525 and ULC-S526 for Canadian installs.
Key features
- Field-selectable candela: 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd - set at install, no ordering variants
- Dual horn patterns: TC3 temporal or constant tone, selectable at the device
- Low current draw: LED strobe technology reduces NAC circuit loading, supports longer wire runs and more devices per circuit
- Standard electrical box mounting: fits 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5" octagon, and 4" square boxes
- Room side wiring plate included: GP10 plate ships with the device for accessible wiring after install
- Broad voltage range: 16-33 VDC or VFWR covers most panel NAC outputs without extra power supplies
Synchronization
Strobes synchronize with Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster and Auxiliary Power Supplies, and Intelligent and Conventional Control Panels. Maximum loop resistance for sync: 20 ohms between any two devices.
