The Kidde Genesis LED EG4 Speaker/Strobe brings clear, high-output audio and visual notification to commercial fire alarm systems without the maintenance headache of xenon tubes. LED technology means lower current draw on the NAC circuit and a longer service life - fewer callbacks, fewer panel capacity surprises.
Built for the commercial fire installer
The EG4SVWN mounts on standard North American 4" square electrical boxes with the included room side wiring plate, keeping install time short and hardware costs down. Strobe intensity is field-selectable at 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd to meet NFPA 72 and ADA spacing requirements without swapping the device. Speaker taps are field-selectable at 25V or 70V with power options from 1/4W to 2W, giving you the flexibility to balance coverage and circuit loading on the same NAC run.
Key advantages
- LED strobe with selectable output: 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd - set it in the field to match spacing tables without stocking multiple SKUs
- Dual-voltage speaker: 25V or 70V field-selectable with 1/4W, 1/2W, 1W, and 2W tap options
- Lower NAC current draw: LED technology reduces per-device current vs. xenon, letting you load more devices per circuit
- Standard 4" box mount: room side wiring plate included - no special backbox or adapter needed
- Built-in synchronization: Genesis LED sync protocol keeps strobes in lockstep without a separate sync module
- UL and ULC listed: UL 1971, UL 1480, ULC-S525, ULC-S541 for US and Canadian installations
System requirements
Operates on 24 VDC or 24 VFWR (regulated 16-33 VDC). Connects to any Kidde or Edwards compatible FACP NAC circuit. Wire gauge: 12-18 AWG. Indoor use only.
